URBAN MESH
Also known in longhand as 'When The Sky Collides With My City' is my Limited Edition URBAN MESH series of [semi-]abstract images of the urban landscape observed from train windows. I wanted to make tangible that everyday ephemeral, informal experience of capital city architecture: buildings moving around, towards or away from us -- leaning, bending and clashing with everything, appearing to me so much like industrial art. This series also celebrates Melbourne's appealing mix of sophistication, grit and creative energy. I find it exciting how the series grows with each train journey. What permutations of sky, light, architecture and urban textures will I capture next?
